How much is your education worth?

Last week I posted a quote of my own about the difference between learning and being taught something. This Oscar Wilde quote runs in tandem with that. I see this as learning in the abstract. I often embrace learning in the abstract, so much so that I find myself getting lost in the enormity of being at times.
That which can be taught is no longer abstract, it has been parsed down to something less than what it is, to something that can be consumed. Society has done this with more than just school subjects, it's done it to us. Each of us has been asked to fit into some sort of box or within some label. The Tao, an ancient Chinese text written by Lao Tzu, states...
The tao that can be told
is not the eternal Tao
The name that can be named
is not the eternal Name.
These are the first lines of the Tao and, if this as far as you ever read of it, and if you understand this, you will be forever changed.
