Step Into Stillness—Discover Your Potential with Tao
October 8, 2024
It’s been a while since I’ve written or posted anywhere, that's because of the overwhelming amount of information we’re surrounded by every day, I just haven’t wanted to contribute to that. We’re constantly inundated with content, emails, and notifications, it’s exhausting, and only getting worse. So, I stepped back to focus on what felt better to me.
That said, I’m excited and proud to share that I’ll be hosting a Tao te Ching workshop on November 2nd at Sat Nam Yoga Chicago, both in-person and online. This event is a significant step for me as I celebrate the release of my own version of the Tao te Ching, which I published back in January.
The Tao te Ching has been a guiding force in my life for decades, helping me navigate my recovery, my MS diagnosis, and countless other challenges. I look forward to shareing how this ancient wisdom can offer clarity, peace, and purpose in today’s fast-paced and often overwhelming world.
Here’s a quote from Chapter 26: “Wasted Movement” from my version of the Tao, which I believe captures why the Tao, and this workshop, can be so beneficial:
Without knowing darkness
Light is mysterious and distracting.
Without knowing stillness
All movement is wasted.
This is why the Master travels
And never leaves home.
No matter how amazing the manifestation
She knows there is nothing that she is not.
Why should anyone seek to be influenced or entertained?
If you let yourself be entertained
You lose touch with your root.
If you let yourself be influenced
You lose touch with who you are.
This workshop will be more than just a celebration of the book—it will be an opportunity to pause, reflect, and reconnect with a deeper sense of self. Whether you’re familiar with the Tao or new to it, I invite you to join me for this experience.
If you’re not interested in the 11:30 am workshop but would like to celebrate the release of the book, please consider arriving at 10:30 am for the book release/signing.

Thank you for your support and for being a part of my journey. I hope to see you there.
Until next time, keep recovering yourself,
